Each year the city recruits individuals interested in serving the community by becoming a paid Election Worker. All election workers receive training in advance of the election and are compensated for each training session and for working Election Day. To be eligible, workers must be registered voters in the State of Michigan.
Pollworkers are paid $120 per day, assistant precinct chairs are paid $130 and precinct chairs are paid $145/day. Training is available and pollworkers receive $15 per training session.
