Grain Elevator

The Grain Elevator dates from 1931 and is the oldest surviving commercial building in the City of Portage. It offers a rustic, but enjoyable setting for meetings, birthday parties or other special gatherings.

Reservations: The Grain Elevator can be reserved one year in advance.  To request a date or check availability contact the Parks & Recreation Division by email or call 269-329-4522, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Maximum Capacity: 80 (First floor only)

Availability: All Year

Rental Fees:

     All deposits & rental fees are due upon reservation. 

  • Refundable Security Deposit: $100
  • $125 for the first 3 hours
  • $30 for each additional hour
  • Maximum All Day Rental for $250

Features:

  • Tables (8' x 30") and chairs provided upon request for up to 60 people
  • Heated Facility
  • No Restrooms
  • No Kitchen

Rules and Regulations:

  • The security deposit is non-refundable if reservation is canceled at any time for any reason. The rental fee will be returned if canceled before 1 month prior to your event otherwise any later cancellation will result in 10)% forfeiture of the rental fee. Please allow four-six weeks for your deposit to be returned after your event.
  • The Grain Elevator and its surrounding area must be left in the proper condition and the keys returned or the damage deposit will be forfeited.
  • Reserving parties must be finished and cleaned up by 10 p.m.
