South Westnedge Park has long been known as the premier softball complex for the region. April through September, the ball fields are busy nightly with the city adult softball program. South Westnedge Park is also the site of the very popular Portage Skatepark. The concrete skatepark is “street plaza” style and has become a destination site for active youth and young adults. A large in-line hockey rink is also located next to the skatepark.

Policies:

• Pets:  Pets are allowed except where posted. Posted areas include: picnic areas, playground and Ramona Park beach. Pets must be restrained on a 6’ or retractable leash, inoculated for rabies and never left unattended. Persons in charge of or in control of pets on park property shall be responsible for clean up and removal of excrement deposited by such pet.
