Performing Arts

All groups welcome new members at any time. Come and join us!

Band
Do you play a musical instrument? Did you ever? This is your chance to dust off that old instrument and become a member of our PSC band. Rehearsals are from 3-4:30 p.m. on Tuesday afternoons as scheduled.  Our band plays music of the big band era, seasonal favorites, and a little bit of more contemporary music. The band performs at least once a month and in the annual variety show in June. For more information, visit PSC BAND.

Choir
Our excellent choir is now about 30 voices strong. Rehearsal is every Thursday morning from 9:30-11:30 a.m. from August through June. These men and women sing arrangements of show tunes, folk music, seasonal and patriotic songs. They have a wonderful time singing and performing about once a month and in the annual variety show in June.

Hand Chimes
Hand chimes are like hand bells, but lighter in weight, and more delicate in sound.  Practice is Tuesday afternoons from 3:30-5 p.m. April through early December.  The group performs occasionally in the community or at the Center.

Reader's Theatre
Like to read out loud? Is there just a little of the ham in you?  This group performs short stories and plays for children and adults without memorizing any lines, using props or costumes. It's just what it sounds like: reading dramatically in front of a live audience.  Practice is twice a month on 2nd and 4th Wednesdays. This group also performs in the annual variety show.
