2010 Fall Leaf Pickup Program

Thursday, August 26, 2010

The City of Portage 2010 Neighborhood Leaf Pickup dates are October 25 - December 2.  Leaves should be raked off the grass and into the street - next to the curb.  The leaves should be as close to the street edge as possible so as not to obstruct traffic.  Equipment may damage lawns is leaves are left in grass areas or ditches.  Leaves in plastic bags will not be collected.

Leaf pickup will occur three times in each neighborhood zone until prohibited by weather. Please plan to have leaves out at the curb by  7 a.m. on each of your three pickup days.  For public safety, do not put leaves in the street more than three days prior to your scheduled pickup.  Streets will be swept following each neighborhood leaf pickup, weather permitting.  The city does not provide leaf pickup on private streets, or for commercial establishments, churches or schools.

Important Reminder: The Leaf Pickup Program is separate from the Monthly Brush Pickup Program. Refer to the Monthly Brush schedule for pickup dates.  Please ensure brush and leaf piles are placed in separate locations.

You may use our Cleanup Program Locator to determine the dates of your scheduled pickup.
