Youth Advisory Committee

The newly-created Youth Advisory Committee consists of up to 15 high school youth representatives and is tasked with providing input to the City Council and City Administration regarding programs, services, projects and issues. The Committee will be tasked with providing input to the City Council and City Administration regarding programs, services, projects and issues. Topics addressed by the past Youth Advisory Committee included:

• Drug abuse and underage drinking prevention
• Summer Youth Activities
• Environmental Awareness

The Committee will meet approximately once a month with meeting dates and times to be determined once the Youth Committee is formed. The committee will be facilitated by a City of Portage staff member.
