 As the winter weather moves in, please help us keep our floors clean and dry. Do not walk into the Fitness Room or a Fitness Class without changing your shoes first. Please change your shoes outside the room before walking in. The locker room is located on the main floor. Otherwise, there are also seated areas upstairs outside the fitness room where you can change shoes.

Intro to Embroidery Tuesday, November 12 4 – 5:30 PM $20 Members / $25 Non-Members Instructed by: Sarah Nott Have you enjoyed other fiber arts such as knitting and crochet? Have you seen works of embroidery online or by others, but have not known where to start? Come learn the basics of decorative embroidery! Students will learn the terminology, techniques, and materials necessary to create decorative embroideries in this basics class. This class is recommended for those with a steadier hand who do not struggle with nearsightedness. Zero experience required; all materials provided. - May be acute (sudden/short-term) injury or chronic (long-term/on-going) injury/ condition.
- Performed only by a licensed Physical Therapist
- Will be offered on-site, but available to schedule at any Armor Physical Therapy location if not able to make it during a designated time. Still free. Just call to schedule.
- If necessary, the PT can communicate with the Primary Care Provider or Specialist for treatment options to ensure an optimal plan of care.

WMU Prof Talks Thursday, November 142 – 3:30 PM Free November The Comedic Musings of Stanley Robin Stanley Robin is a professor emeritus of sociology at WMU. During his 30-year tenure, he also served as President of the Faculty Senate, Director of the Kercher Center for Social Research, Research Director of the Western Michigan - Grand Rapids Public Schools Center for Educational Studies. In retirement, now for 29 years, he has performed in 18 theatrical productions in addition to the monologue performances he will grace us with to kick off the holiday season. Vaccine Clinic: RSV, Shingles, Pneumonia, COVID and FluFriday, November 158 AM – 1 PMSponsored by: Texas Corners PharmacyCall to schedule your appointment at 269-329-4555Texas Corners Pharmacy will be at PZSC for a day of vaccine administration including RSV, Shingles, Pneumonia, COVID Boosters, and Flu Shots. Upon registration, you will be asked for your Full Name, DOB, Address and phone number which will be provided to the pharmacy for registration processing. Please bring your Driver’s License and Insurance Cards. PZSC will take the last appointment one week in advance to allow time to process paperwork. Registration will end on Friday, November 8. If you have any personal medical questions regarding the vaccine or doses, please call the pharmacy at 269-290-0958. RSV: Older adults are more likely to have severe RSV and require hospitalization. This vaccine prevents against the severe form. It is recommended to get this shot anytime, but especially in the winter when cases are higher. This is a 1 dose shot for those 60+. Shingles: The only way to protect against shingles and postherpetic neuralgia (long-term nerve pain resulting as a complication from shingles). It is recommended to get this shot anytime. This is a 2-dose shot (second dose 2 – 6 months after first dose), recommended for everyone 50+. Pneumonia: Colds, Flu, or RSV can turn into pneumonia and cause complications, hospital stays, and deaths. It is recommended to get this shot anytime, but especially in the winter when flu cases are higher. The number os doses is dependent on your previous vaccination history; a new pneumonia vaccine came out in 2021 to cover broader spectrums of strains. The pharmacist will look to see which pneumonia vaccine you need to receive. COVID Booster: COVID is more likely to cause serious complications in patients 50+. It is recommended to get this shot anytime, but especially in the winter when cases are higher. This is a 1 dose shot (all ages, dependent on vaccination history). The pharmacy is providing the Pfizer Booster shot. Flu Shot: Flu is a contagious virus that leads to many complications, hospitalizations, and deaths every year. It is ideal to receive your Flu shot in the fall/wintertime. This is a 1 dose shot to receive once a season. A high dose is available for those 65+.

Would you enjoy creating handmade cards for your loved ones and friends but don’t know where to start? Join Elizabeth Bohannon as she facilitates this fun one-time class. Create 12 cards with her assistance and easy-to-assemble kits for a delightful crafting experience. Kits include a sturdy and decorative box to store your completed cards. Kiln Fused Glass Ornaments Wednesday, November 20 2 – 4 PM $25 Members / $30 Non-Members Instructed by: Glass Art Kalamazoo Dive into the festive spirit by learning the basics of cutting and arranging flat glass for the fusion (melting) process, using an array of styles and vibrant glass colors tailored for your project. In this special holiday-themed kiln-fusing workshop, participants will have the chance to use the equipment together, allowing you to create a stunning and entirely unique holiday ornament! The workshop fee includes all tools, materials, and the final beautiful piece. Suitable for crafters of all skill levels - no prior experience in glass art is required. Update to Fitness Class Drop-In PolicyWe have updated our policy for drop-in registrations for fitness classes due to our ongoing expansion. Starting October 1, all drop-in registrations must be made on the same day as the class. This change will help us manage class size and attendance more effectively and ensure we have enough equipment and seating for everyone. The drop-in fee will now be a flat rate of $10 for both members and non-members. These adjustments reflect our commitment to providing a consistent and valuable fitness experience. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in creating a positive and organized fitness environment.

REMINDER: Cancellation/ Refund Policy for Classes & ProgramsPlease make sure to register early for all programs and classes offered by PZSC to ensure you get a spot and to avoid the cancellation of classes due to low enrollment. Effective immediately, the PZSC Cancellation Policy requires a 72-business hour (3 days) notice for all cancellations of classes and programs. If you need to cancel your reservation in a class, please do so at least 72-business hours in advance of the scheduled start time. Failure to provide the required notice will result in no refund or credit. Refunds will not be given after a program has begun unless there is a valid medical concern or emergency. However, if the cancellation is due to the discretion of PZSC, including weather advisories or instructor illness, a partial credit will be placed into the member’s account. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in this matter. Please note that the cancellation/refund policy for travel-related reservations are handled differently.
