Rotating exhibitions that focus on local arts and history are in the lobby at Portage City Hall throughout the year. The exhibitions are FREE to the public and are open Monday through Friday. In collaboration with the Kalamazoo Institute of Arts’ West Michigan Area Show, this exhibition will present an array of works from this year’s winning Portage artist whose work best represents the theme A Natural Place to Move.

Step into the misty and mysterious world of bogs. On your twilight hike, you’ll hear strange tales of swamp lights and bog people. Explore the mysterious flora and fauna, like carnivorous plants and creepy cryptids that inhabit these wetlands. This hike is sure to raise goosebumps on your arms and send chills up your spine. Don’t forget your waterproof hiking boots, weather-appropriate gear, and a flashlight or headlamp. This hike is two to four miles long.
