National Work Zone Awareness Week is April 21–25
Every year, hundreds of lives are lost in work zone crashes — most are drivers, their passengers, and pedestrians. In 2024, it is estimated that there were 16 fatalities, 1,065 work zone injuries, and 6,097 total crashes in Michigan work zones. This year’s message is clear: “Respect the zone so we all get home.”
