[ARCHIVED] Summer Concert Series

J Cavataio News Flash

Portage Parks & Recreation welcomes Jeffrey Cavataio to the stage as the next musical act of the Summer Concert Series on Thursday, August 11 at 7 PM.  This month, the concert has moved to the Celery Flats Historical Area, 7335 Garden Lane.

Jeffrey Cavataio is a classy, modern-day crooner with an upbeat pop twist. Captivating his audiences with heartfelt original songs and soulful renditions, such as Frank Sinatra’s “New York, New York.”  With these, he invites vocal comparisons to Dean Martin, Josh Groban, Michael Bublé, Neil Diamond, and Barry Manilow, known for their emotionally expressive tenor to baritone voices.

Bring a chair or blanket and leave a little room for busting a move.  Admission is FREE to the Summer Concert Series thanks to our series sponsor, the Arts Council of Greater Kalamazoo!  No ticket or registration is required for this event.  Curry in a Hurry will be selling concessions beginning at 5 PM.

Parking will be available at the Celery Flats parking lots on Garden Lane as well as at City Hall (7900 South Westnedge Avenue) and First Reformed Church (7905 South Westnedge Avenue) starting at 5 PM.  Parking at the Portage District Library (325 East Centre Avenue) will be available starting at 6 PM.  A golf cart will be available to assist those with mobility issues.

For more information, visit the Facebook event @CityofPortageMI or call Portage Parks & Recreation at (269) 329-4522.
