On Monday, May 15, 2023, the West Osterhout Sanitary Sewer Lift Station Rehabilitation project will begin at 1425 West Osterhout Avenue. Temporary traffic signals will control traffic on West Osterhout Avenue between Pennridge Drive and Pierport Drive to allow one lane of traffic around construction activities at the lift station.
The project to replace a can-style lift station that was constructed in 1978 includes the removal of the riser of the existing prefabricated lift station and internal components, abandonment of the remaining prefabricated steel enclosure, rehabilitation of the existing wet well, construction of a valve vault, replacement of all internal piping, electrical, controls and pumps, installation of an emergency generator, and site improvements. The expected construction period is May through August.
