The 2018 winter property tax bills were mailed to City of Portage property owners on November 21, 2018. Payment for 2018 winter tax bills is due by 5 PM on Thursday, February 14, 2019. Property owners who have not received a winter tax bill by December 5, 2018 are asked to contact the Portage Treasury Office. Failure to receive a tax bill does not relieve the property owner of the responsibility for payment of the tax and applicable fees. Questions regarding tax bills may be directed to the Portage Treasury Office at 329-4455. Property tax information is updated daily and can be viewed at portagemi.gov/154.

before February 14 are encouraged to hand-deliver
payments to the post office and witness the postmark
being applied to the payment.
All 2018 property taxes
that remain unpaid on March 1, 2019 will be turned
over to the Kalamazoo County Treasurer for collection,
and additional fees will be added.
