The City of Portage will host a citizen forum to discuss the Lovers Lane reconstruction project that is currently underway. The $1.33 million project is designed to calm traffic and improve safety. The project includes re-alignment of the reverse curve north of Ramona Avenue and a change the present configuration of two lanes in each direction to one lane in each direction with a dedicated turn lane. This reconfiguration is designed to create a safer driving environment for motorists who travel on Lovers Lane.
The citizen forum will be held from 5:30 to 6:30 PM on Thursday, June 27 in Conference Room 1 at Portage City Hall (7900 South Westnedge Avenue). City representatives will be present to accept feedback and answer citizen questions regarding the Lovers Lane project.
