The third and final round of the 2019 City of Portage Fall Leaf Pickup Program will begin on Monday, November 25. Any leaves that may have been missed in the second collection due to the early snow event will be collected during the final round. Loose leaves and leaves in biodegradable paper yard waste bags should be staged at the roadside no later than 7 AM of the designated collection date for each zone. Visit portagemi.gov/282 to view program details and look up your collection date.
The City of Portage Compost Facility will be open on Saturday, December 7 from 8 AM to 12 PM. Portage residents may drop off loose leaves and leaves in biodegradable paper bags. The compost facility is located at 10905 Oakland Drive, just south of Osterhout Avenue. This service is restricted to Portage homeowners; please be prepared to present proof of residency (driver’s license).
