We’re hearing that WOOD TV 8 is reporting the City of Portage is holding a meeting at 5:30 this evening regarding deer. There is no such meeting tonight. The Environmental Board has submitted a recommendation to the Council concerning a deer survey and the agenda for the 7:00 Council meeting includes a recommendation that the report be referred to the City Administration for review and report. While all City Council meetings are open to the public and residents are encouraged to attend, we do not anticipate much discussion this evening or any decision on the matter to be made.
