COVID-19 Update from Kalamazoo County Health & Community
Services Department
Kalamazoo County Health & Community Services Department activated their call center
on March 13, 2020 and it will operate seven (7) days per week from 8:00am to
5:00pm. The County call center number is 269-373-5267. The Michigan Department of
Health and Human Services (MDHHS) activated their call center today which will also
operate between the hours of 8:00am to 5:00pm. The MDHHS call center phone is 888-
535-6136.
Kalamazoo County Health & Community Services Department continues to partner
closely with our local health systems and the Region 5 Medical Coalition in our
community’s response to COVID-19.
Although COVID-19 test samples have been submitted to the MDHHS Bureau of
Laboratories, there are no confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Kalamazoo County. A COVID19 test is ordered by a medical professional in consultation with KCHCSD. A total of 16
test have been sent to the State lab and are awaiting results. If a COVID-19 case is
identified in a Kalamazoo County resident, KCHCSD will provide timely, accurate and
credible information to our community.
