With 12 days remaining before the August 4, 2020 State Primary Election, the Office of the City Clerk encourages those voters who have received their absentee ballots but have yet to return them to start thinking about doing so.
As of Friday, July 24, the Portage City Clerk has only received approximately 32 percent of the total absent voter ballots sent out. While the deadline to return an absent voter ballot to Portage City Hall is 8 PM on Election Day (August 4), the City Clerk recommends that voters return absent voter ballots sooner rather than later, especially if returning via U.S. Postal Mail.
- Residents have options for returning an absent voter ballot:
- Mail back to the Office of the City Clerk via the U.S. Mail
- Place the ballot in the secure City Hall night dropbox accessible on the front side of the building at any time.
- Return the ballot in person to the Office of the City Clerk from 9 AM to 4 PM, Monday through Friday. The Office of the City Clerk will also be open on Saturday, August 1 from 8 AM to 4 PM.
Contact the Office of the City Clerk at (269) 329-4511 with any questions.
