Join the Portage Department of Public Safety and Portage Parks & Recreation for the biggest annual Pig Out yet on Saturday, August 15 from 2 – 6 PM at Ramona Park (8600 South Sprinkle Road). This FREE back-to-school event provides kids with backpacks and school supplies needed for the upcoming school year whether that be in-school or through virtual learning.
Due to the COVID pandemic, this event will be held “Drive-In” style. Enter Ramona Park and follow the Rangers directions to multiple stops for school supplies, goodies and FREE food while supplies last.
Pig Out in the Park with Public Safety wouldn’t be possible without the support of the event sponsor, Honor Credit Union, which has also donated school supplies and backpacks. Additional sponsors include Lake Michigan Credit Union, Ibison Concessions and Texas Roadhouse.
PIG Out in the Park with Public Safety is FREE and no registration is required. In the event of inclement weather, updates will be posted on the City of Portage MI Facebook page. Please contact Portage Parks & Recreation at 329-4522 for additional information or if you are interested in donating new school supplies.
