Students! Do you have a passion for Portage? Tell us about it! Mayor Randall and the City Council may select you to “flip the switch” to light the thousands of holiday lights in the City Centre on December 1, 2018.
Submit a one-page essay about why you love Portage – your favorite places to go or fun things to do in Portage and what makes Portage A Natural Place to Move! Entries should include your name, mailing address phone number, grade in school and the school you attend.
The entry deadline is Friday, November 16. City Council will determine the winner (or winners!) who will have the opportunity to participate in kicking off festivities at the 2018 Traditional Holiday & Tree Lighting Celebration on December 1 at 6 p.m.
