[ARCHIVED] Summer Concert Series: The Motortown All-Stars

SCS The Motortown All Stars

Portage Parks & Recreation kicks off the Summer Concert Series with The Motortown All-Stars on Thursday, June 8 at 7 PM. The concert takes place at Overlander Bandshell in Central Park, 7810 Shaver Road. 

Direct from Detroit, The Motortown All-Stars will entertain you with timeless Motown classics from legendary groups like Marvin Gaye, The Jackson 5, The Four Tops, The Temptations, Stevie Wonder, and more. This group will undoubtedly dazzle you with their harmonizing vocals, smooth choreography, and flashy suits which set the tone of a nostalgic bygone era! 

Top Shelf Catering will be on-site selling tacos and nachos. Parking begins at 5 PM and is first come, first served. A drop off loop and parking are available behind Portage Public Safety for those with limited mobility. Parking will also be available at Portage City Hall, Portage Zhang Senior Center, First Reformed Church, Portage Community Center, and Comerica Bank.  

Bring a chair or blanket and don't forget to leave a little room for busting a move.  Admission is FREE to the Summer Concert Series thanks to the series sponsor, the Arts Council of Greater Kalamazoo.
